Seachange Psychotherapy is a holistically-focused therapy practice, with the aim of helping individuals explore how past experiences inform current thoughts, beliefs, patterns of behavior and relationship dynamics.
As a practice, we utilize an attachment-based lens and approach therapy with a blend of mindfulness-based practices, parts work, EMDR & somatic experiencing to help clients foster self-compassion, self-acceptance, connection, healing and growth. COUPLES THERAPY
At Seachange, we’re passionate about working with couples to help them better understand their relationship dynamics, attachment patterns and negative cycles that they might like to shift within the relationship.
Our approach to couples therapy is informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, an evidence-based practice rooted in attachment theory that maintains the belief that humans are created for strong emotional bonds with others. Through this work, couples are supported to identify negative patterns that exist within their relationship, heal attachment wounds, learn new ways to establish connection, and deepen emotional bonds that allow for more secure attachment.
Seachange supports all types of couples, and specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ couples as well as non-traditional relationships (open, ENM, etc.).
